Family! I am so happy everyone is going to get to spend the holiday together! It is going to be last huge family sing for a while so sing your hearts out. I will be thinking of you all on Thursday! Life in Liege is amazing as always. L and I are still doing well. It is going to take some time but they are still progressing and it is a blessing to see that progress. Actually at our last rdv, L really touched my heart. She said that her life has changed since we started teaching her. She feels a spirit when we enter the home that is strange and indescribable and amazing all at the same time. Of course, it isn't us at all, but it made me feel like I have helped someone recognize the blessings of coming unto Christ, even if I just stand by the side and watch the Spirit work. She really has become a close friend and it is a blessing to be a part of her life. We have interviews tomorrow and Sr Brubaker is going to come with us to teach her! I am so excited!
Ok quick miracle. This past week we decided to fast for our area. We started the morning with a consecrated hour. After a few null mins Sr Shannon felt to ring on this one door. The man who came to the door is incredible. We talked to him about the Book of Mormon, why we have it, where it comes from and what we learn from it. He asked us how we found him and we said well we rang the doorbell. He asked if we were just going down the line and we said well no, we felt like the person who needed this message most was at that (his) sonnet. He goes "that feeling was God i know it! I really know it! I don't think it was a coincidence you are here." We went back and taught him a first yesterday and he hopfeully is coming to fhe tonight. Really; there are miracles everywhere! Okay, I really must go BUT know that I love you. Logistics...I found boots, I look like a cross between a pirate and Reba McIntire's Nancy (Chelsey:) it's ok because I am warm! So far so good on warmth. I am insulating with underarmour and lots of layers (hopefully not too much adipose:). I look like a snowman but I am relatively comfortable. Apparently it has been unseasonably warm so I can't complain. The work moves forward and I am so blessed to be a part of it. Eat some pumpkin pie for me! Josh, good luck with your talk! You were born to speak in front of people. When you talk people listen because of your sincerity and because of your strength. I was terrified too but just be real. Bear testimony of the things you know and you will be great! Speaking of the plan of salvation, "we are all away at school, trying to master the lessons of the great plan of happiness so that we can return home and know what it means to be there!" I feel blessed to know that there is so much in store for us. We are refined here so we can know the blessing it is to be back with our Father. I love you! good luck everyone with this week...Chelsey and Mom with dinner, Josh with final preparations, Dad with raking and Hadley with having FUN! We are so blessed to have the gospel Love, Sr Powers
